Situation update regarding typhoon “Jebi” in Japan


The Tourism Crisis Management Office (GGCT) is paying close attention to the situation caused by typhoon “Jebi” in Japan and will keep close contact with the Macao travel industry and Air Macau for any developments.

Until 10:30 on September 7th, GGCT received 79 requests for information, mainly related to the status of flights between Macao and Japan. During the same time, GGCT has not received any request for assistance.

In view of the needs of the Macao residents stranded in Osaka, Air Macau will be operating an additional flight to and from Fukuoka on September 8th and 9th, as well as continuing to assist passengers affected by the flight cancellations in Osaka by rescheduling their return tickets to Macao via the Narita or Fukuoka Airports. Affected passengers can contact the Air Macau reservation hotline at 853-83965555 (Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 20:00; Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays from 9:00 to 18:00).
