He also encouraged the young people to grasp every opportunity to develop their career in the aviation sector according to their interests.

To cope with the 2018 policy address of enhancing the work for the youth, AACM invited the Macau College Students Development Association (the Association) to jointly organize a talk on “2018 Youth Project – Macao Aviation Development and Career Prospect”. The activity was convened at the Lecture Theatre of the Main Building of Macao Polytechnic Institute. President Chan gave his presentation in three parts: the development and the future planning of Macao’s aviation, the different jobs in aviation, his personal experience such as the opportunities for entering into the industry and the challenges and interesting encounters he met during his work life.

President Chan also interacted with the students after his presentation of the main parts and gave an analysis of the personality requirements for each role and the future prospects of each profession. He encouraged students to develop their career and look for a profession that best fits their personalities and interests. President Chan emphasized that aviation is an international and highly technical industry which helps to broaden the perspective of a practitioner. He therefore reassured students the benefits of working in the industry as they can meet working partners with different nationalities and cultures. President Chan also told the attendees that with the development of the Big Bay Area and the support from the Central Government, Macao’s aviation will turn better and better. Students can choose either to stay in Macao or pursue their dreams in the Big Bay Area.

The talk attracted the members of the Association, as well as local students who study in Macao and abroad to attend. The participants were attentive and showed their enthusiasm by posing their questions in the interaction time.
