Organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Macao (IC) and co-organized by the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM), “Style‧Encounter Moment” – The 5th Fashion Parade of Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making, was held on Saturday, 20 October, at 2:30pm, at the MacaoFashion Festival (MFF) 2018, in the Florence ballroom of The Venetian Macao.
The event was attended by the Vice President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Ieong Chi Kin; the representative of the President of the Administrative Committee of the Cultural Industries Fund, Chu Miu Lai; the representative of the Vice President of the Committee of Cultural Industries, Wong Keng Chao; and various members of the adjudicating panel of the Subsidy Programme, including the Deputy Director-General of the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre, Victoria Kuan Chi Ping; the Vice President of the Industrial Association of Macau, José Tang Kuan Meng; the Vice Chairman of theHong Kong Fashion DesignersAssociation, Walter Ma; and Dr. Raymond Au, among others.
The Fashion Parade features works by fashion designers selected from the Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making 2017, in which 64 sets of clothing were presented by local models, including men’s clothing, women’s casual and formal wears, and family outfits. Participating designers are (in random order): Leng Carmen, Cheang Man Cheng and Mac Chi Lon (team), Tam Chi Kit, Wai Chin Seong, Siu David, Cheang Chi Tat, Lo Ka Heng and Choi Wai Leng (team), Wong Ha and Cheong Kuan Peng (team).
Since 2014, IC and CPTTM have jointly organized “Style‧Encounter Moment” Fashion Parade of Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making annually, showcasing the latest achievements of selected designers of the Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making launched by IC and providing a platform for local fashion designers to display their works.“Style‧Encounter Moment” – The 5th Fashion Exhibition of Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making, runs until 30 December, at the Macao Fashion Gallery, located at No. 47, Rua de S. Roque, showcasing the abovementioned designers’ works. The exhibition is open daily from 10am to 8pm, including public holidays (closed on Mondays). Admission is free.
