Thirtieth issue of C2 discusses music publishing in digital age

Published by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and produced by Like Entertainment & Production Co. Ltd., the thirtieth issue of C2 Magazine will be released tomorrow (5 December). This issue discusses the current music development in the digital market.

How to foster the development of music publishing in this digital age? In the “Feature” section, record label JVR Music from Taiwan, music streaming platform NetEase Cloud Music from Mainland China and artist Chai Kefu from Macao discuss the ways of carrying out music marketing in the digital age from three perspectives, namely that of a brand, of the music platform and of a creator. The “Close-up” section reports how the Teatro Capitol (also known as Kuok Wa Cinema) became a multifunctional performance venue after undergoing revitalisation and renovation. Project initiator William Kuan and operation manager Mark Lam introduce the entire process of revitalisation and their business model. Muzen Audio, which has become a hit in Mainland China, is expected to enjoy a sales volume of over a million products this year. Where does such irresistible charm come from? The founder Zeng Dejun shares the stories of the brand with us in the “Opinion” section. Christmas is just around the corner. In the “Local Force” section, promotion activities and products of four local cultural and creative stores are covered to present the latest Christmas offers to readers. In the “Blogs” section, seven columnists, namely Lo Che Ying, Tracy Choi, Lam Sio Man, Un Sio San, Ron Lam, Yap Seow Choong and Johnny Tam, share their unique insights on the development of the cultural and creative industries.
