Hotline services were provided by the Consumer Council earlier during public holidays, a total number of 138 cases were received between 20 December 2018 to 1 January 2019, 60 percent of which are complaint cases, the Council has offered assistance according to the requests of consumers.
Among the 83 complaint cases, 44 cases were lodged by local citizens and 39 were lodged by tourists, 5 cases were complaints on taxi services and 6 cases about prices of food outlets and food quality, etc.. Follow-up and referral of cases have been made by the Consumer Council.
