The Government has set up a cross-departmental task group to coordinate celebrations for the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR).

According to an Executive Order published in today’s Macao SAR Gazette, the task group is to be chaired by the Chief-of-Office of the Chief Executive’s Office, Ms O Lam, and draws its membership from a total of 11 public departments.

The public departments include: the Government Information Bureau; the Macao Foundation; the Protocol, Public Relation and External Affairs Office; the Municipal Affairs Bureau; the Financial Services Bureau; the Public Security Police Force; and the Cultural Affairs Bureau.

The Executive Order stipulates that the public departments involved in the preparation and implementation of events shall bear the costs of activities in their area of competence.

The Chief Executive’s Office will provide administrative, technical and logistical support to the task group. Other budgets will come from the Financial Service Bureau.
