Heavyweight Speaks on Green Economy and Industrial Upgrading

Mr. Michael Liebreich as the keynote speaker of “The 2019 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition”

Every year, significant contributors to international environmental protection community are invited as keynote speakers to the Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition (MIECF), which is hosted by the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region. This year, MIECF has invited Mr. Michael Liebreich, Founder of New Energy Finance, Former Chairman and Senior Contributor of the Advisory Board at Bloomberg New Energy Finance and Chairman & CEO of Liebreich Associates, as the keynote speaker to share how green economy and industrial upgrading can promote urban sustainable development.

The 2019MIECF will be held at the Venetian Macao from 28 to 30 March. At the opening ceremony on the first day, Mr. Michael Liebreich will deliver a keynote speech. On the afternoon of 29 March, he will give his insights into “The State of the Green Industry”, interact with participants, and discuss environmental issues on the Keynote Speaker Special Session. The 2019MIECF has also invited Professor Kou Kun Pang, the Vice Chairman of the Consultative Committee of Environment of Macao SAR Government and the Head of Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Macau, as the moderator of the Special Session.

Mr. Michael Liebreich serves on a number of advisory boards, including the OECD Centre on Green Finance, Master’s programme in Climate Change, Management and Finance at Imperial College, among others. He is a former member of the high-level advisory group for the UN Secretary-General’s Sustainable Energy for All initiative and he has served on the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Councils on Sustainable Energy and the New Energy Architecture.
