The event organizer also arranged a guided tour for students, and a specially-assigned person introduced the various environmentally-friendly products and technologies in the exhibition area to the students.
A series of educational activities on environmental protection were arranged at the venue, sharing the fun with the public. Activities scheduled this year include Lucky Draw, Green Showcase, Environmental Workshop, Family Games, Eco Fun, exhibition on waste reduction and recycling, and an area of recycled articles. The mascots of the Environmental Protection Bureau: Mr. Earth, Cloud Brother, Flower Sister and Baby Spoonbill were also on site to take pictures with the public, adding sparkles to the venue.
Citizens attending the exhibition said that they would allocate time to participate in the MIECF every year, As they could learn about the latest environmental protection facilities through the event, and acquire knowledge of environmental protection through activities arranged at the venue.
Participating parents suggested that the parent-child activities at the exhibition allowed children to increase their knowledge of environmental protection while having fun. Although schools provide environmental education, the activities at the exhibition allow children to learn with their full bodies with even higher efficiency.
The organizer will continue to disseminate environmental protection messages to citizens through this annual international environmental event, and encourage people to actively adopt various environmentally-friendly practices in their daily lives, and support the sustainable development of the Macao SAR Government.
