Organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), the Tap Siac Craft Market will be held at Tap Siac Square for two consecutive weekends from 26 to 28 April and from 3 to 5 May 2019. The opening ceremony will be held at 6pm on 26 April. All are welcome to show support for this local cultural event and enjoy the creative atmosphere.
The Tap Siac Craft Market features a total of 220 booths from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Malaysia, displaying a host of distinctive cultural and creative products. Creative food stalls are also available and the public may feel free to enjoy the delicacies while shopping for creative products. In order to encourage more residents to participate in the activities and have a fun-filled experience, 38 original handicraft workshops by instructors from difference places will be offered to the public and 36 music performances by local and visiting singer-songwriters will be staged during the event. The Landlord’s Cat, a renowned singer-songwriter duo from the Mainland, was invited to perform at the opening ceremony.
Furthermore, a “creative graffiti area” will be added to the Craft Market this year, where artists from different origins are invited to create their graffiti and anyone interested is welcome to show their creativity and exchange ideas with the artists. There will also be a graffiti area exclusively designed for children to draw graffiti together with their parents. Meanwhile, the “MOMEplay prize-winning game” will be launched. More details are available at the official WeChat account “ICmacao” from 24 April to 5 May 2019. All are welcome to play the game and stand a chance to win attractive prizes, including a total of 1,000 exquisite hand-made products offered by booth owners.
