The Chief Executive, Mr Chui Sai On, today attended the opening ceremony of the second edition of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, where President Xi Jinping delivered a keynote speech.
The second edition of the forum takes as its theme "Belt and Road Cooperation, Shaping a Brighter Shared Future", with a focus on promotion of high-quality development in countries and places along the “Belt and Road”.
Members of the Macao delegation attending today’s opening ceremony included: the Secretary for Administration and Justice, Ms Chan Hoi Fan; the Secretary for Economy and Finance, Mr Leong Vai Tac; the Commissioner Against Corruption, Mr Cheong Weng Chon; as well as some members of the Executive Council, Mr Liu Chak Wan, Mr Ma Iao Lai, Mr Cheang Chi Keong, Mr Wong Yue Kai, Mr Lam Kam Seng, and Mr Chan Chak Mo.
Following the opening ceremony, the Chief Executive also attended a high-level meeting, where Vice Premier of the State Council, Mr Han Zheng, gave a speech.
