According to《The Five-Year Development Plan of the Macao Special Administrative Region (2016-2020) 》, to tie in with the development of smart city and the implementation of the three-dimensional map application, Cartography and Cadastre Bureau (DSCC) launches the 3D Map function on the basis of the “Macao Online Map” platform, which allows public to navigate the 3D scenes of Macao in a visual and multi-angles way and see the city's landscapes without going out.

The three-dimensional scenes in the 3D Map cover the entire Macao, including different types of 3D models such as buildings, public facilities and roads. The public only needs to activate the 3D Map function on “Macao Online Map” platform to browse the scenes of 2D and 3D maps simultaneously, and search for the 2D and 3D maps of the desired location by entering the name of buildings, streets or points of interest. In addition, the 3D Map has preset specific scenes for public to choose, including Guia Fortress, University of Macau, the Public Housing Complex in Seac Pai Van and others; which allows the citizens and tourists to enjoy the unique blend of Chinese and Western cultures via the internet.

DSCC will strive to meet the demand of public for the usage of Macao three-dimensional geographic information, update the basic and three-dimensional map of Macao continuously, and support the sustainable development of smart city through the application of geographic technology. For more information, please refer to the “Macao Online Map” website (https://webmap.gis.gov.mo) or inquiry via telephone (Tel: 2834 0040) during office hours.
