CCAC seeks to optimise legal regimes of corruption fighting and discipline of public servants

As a proactive response to the demands for optimising the integrity building in the Macao SAR and in order to step up the efforts in the fight against corruption and optimise the accountability system in the public service, following the suggestions raised by the expert team of the United Nations concerning the implementation of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption by the Macao SAR and drawing on its experiences in corruption-fighting and ombudsmanship over recent years and those of the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong, the CCAC has commenced a review of the relevant criminal regime and the discipline regime of public servants. The conclusions of the review and recommendations on the optimisation of the regimes will be revealed and rendered shortly.
