MEF Exhibitors Aim at Strengthening Ties with GBA Cities

Enterprises explore business opportunities at the “Macao Franchise Expo”

The Macao Franchise Expo 2019 (2019MFE) will be held on 26 to 28 July. Exhibitors who have participated in MFE for many times say that they will continue joining the event this year, as they hope to expand their businesses through MFE’s diverisified platform and extend their reach to more cities in the Greater Bay Area for more collaboration opportunities.

According to Ms Ng, representative of a local kid photography company, it was the sixth time for her company to participate in the MFE. Ms Ng’s company engages in kid photography, video making and indoor scene rental. During last year’s MFE, Ms Ng’s company reached partnership with a children product department store from Zhongshan. Afterwards, her company set up two branches in Zhongshan. Ms Ng says that joining MFE is greatly beneficial to her business as she is able to encounter more preferable investors, expand her market in Mainsland China, extend the company’s reach to more resources in the Greater Bay Area and usher in more co-operation opportunities.

Ms Kuan, representative of a children education institute who has taken part in the MFE for many times, says that she will be joining the MFE again this year. Her organisation specialises in teaching Verdic math, with focus placed on providing an interesting way for children to learn. Ms Kuan indicates that Macao’s educational system varies from the one in Hong Kong, hence the difference in number of teachers and amount of teaching resources. So her company emphasizes in building network and enhancing publicity during her exhibition, exactly where MFE can offer powerful support in these aspects. In order to make the MFE more effective, she has also suggested publicising what franchising is and how franchising is good to developing business.

Last year, a Taiwanese-style beverage store which participated in the MFE for the first time reached agreement to co-operate with an exclusive distributor and a retail shop. The person in-charge of this store Mr Chen is gratified by the result of joining the MFE. Mr Chen says that as the first day of the MFE is open to trade visitors only, it has created a more effective environment for seeking partners and collaboration projects. The company will continue expanding its market in Mainland China, and it has successfully registered its trademark in Macao.

In addition, the 2019MFE will be held concurrently with the 2019 Guangdong & Macao Branded Products Fair (2019GMBPF). The 2019MFE is an admission free event, with the first day (26 July) open to trade visitors only and the latter two days (27 to 28 May) to the general public.
