Signal No. 1 was issued at 2019-07-01 22:00 and is unlikely to be replaced by higher signal before 2019-07-02 06:00. The borad low pressure area developed into a tropical depression. Under the influence of its outer rain bands, the showers will be more frequent on 2019-07-02. During the nighttime , the showers will be heavy and thundery at times while the winds intensify and be strong and gusty occasionally.
Blue “storm surge” warning was issued at 2019-07-01 22:00. Under combined effect of astronomical tide and the outer circulation, flooding will occur in low lying areas during the morning to noon from 2019-07-02 to 2019-07-06. The highest flooding level is expect to be about 0.5m.
