Water quality at Cheoc Van beach found abnormal

The Marine and Water Bureau (DSAMA) was informed by the Laboratory of the Municipal Affairs Bureau that the test results from the water samples from Cheoc Van Beach proved positive for Vibrio cholera. DSAMA has reported the case to the Disease Prevention and Control Centre of the Health Bureau and has hoisted the red flag at the beach, advising residents not to go into the water. Notices have also been put up at the beach to remind the public about the situation. No abnormality has been detected at Hac Sa Beach. Related departments will continue to monitor the situation and provide the public with the latest information in a timely manner.
