IFT Scholarship and Fellowship Presentation Ceremony 2019

On 25 September, the Macao Institute for Tourism Studies (IFT) hosted the IFT Scholarship and Fellowship Presentation Ceremony 2019 at IFT Mong-Há Campus.

In 2019, 281 scholarships and fellowships were donated by 26 government departments, private enterprises, associations and individuals, amounting more than 2.8 million patacas. In the new school year, IFT had confirmed offering full tuition fee remission to 73 new students.

The awarding scopes include: students with the best academic achievement, students with the most significant scholastic improvement, best interns, global internship programmes, conference allowance, financial aid, exchange programmes, cultural programmes, best thesis papers as well as scholarships for alumni pursuing master’s degree.

Scholarship and Fellowship providers include: Cultural Affairs Bureau, Higher Education Fund, Macao Foundation, Macao Government Tourism Office, Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, Banco Nacional Ultramarino, Bank of China, Mr. Cheung Lup Kwan, Decanter, Galaxy Entertainment Group, Golden Burger (Macau) Charity Association, Henry Fok Foundation, Mr. & Mrs. Huen, L’Arc Macau, Macau Gaming Equipment Manufacturers Association, Macau Hotel Association, Macau Polytex Group, Macau Traveling and Cultural Exchange Promotion Association, Melco Resorts & Entertainment, MGM, Nam Kwong (Group) Company Ltd., Sands China Ltd., Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel, The St. Regis Macao Hotel, Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A. as well as Wynn Resorts (Macau), S.A.

The significance of the scholarships is to support and to assent the hard work of the students. Apart from tuition fee waiver, recipients are availed the opportunity to broaden their horizon. Global exchange and internship programmes enable them to engage in different cultural setting. IFT extends the gratitude to scholarship providers for their continuous support to the Institute and for their contribution to help nurture future talents for Macao tourism industry.
