Parents may enrol online for the Explanatory Sessions for the “Central Registration for Children Entering Kindergarten for the First Time”

The Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (hereinafter referred to as the “DSEJ”) continues to optimise the “Central Registration for Children Entering Kindergarten for the First Time” (hereinafter referred to as the “Central Registration”). In order to help parents learn about the details of the “Central Registration”, The DSEJ will hold several explanatory sessions on it from 23rd November, 2019. Parents may enrol for the explanatory sessions on the DSEJ website from November. During the period of “Central Registration” for the academic year 2020 / 2021, parents enrolling their children (who were born between 2015 and 2017) in infant education in Macao for the first time can check the enrolment information of different schools on the DSEJ website and register their children online. Parents do not need to queue up at schools to obtain and submit application forms, nor do they need to print out the “Registration Slip”.

When conducting online registration on the DSEJ website between 6th and 20th January, 2020, parents must fill in and submit the related information for enrolment as well as upload a recent photograph of the child (ID card photo format; showing full face, without wearing a hat). After the completion of the online registration, schools will inform parents of the interview dates and time. After interviews, parents can check the admission lists on the DSEJ website. Parents of the admitted children should confirm their desired school online and bring the identification document of the child to the selected school in person to process registration.

The DSEJ will introduce the schedule and specific arrangements of the “Central Registration”, as well as demonstrate how to register online at the explanatory sessions. There will be special explanatory sessions as well as public sessions. To participate in the special sessions, parents must register through child-care centres. As for registering the public sessions (please refer to the below timetable), the deadline is one working day before each session. Parents are welcome to enrol for the explanatory sessions online. Please note that the seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. For enquiries, please call at 8397 2309 during office hours.
