Due to the novel coronavirus epidemic situation, even though the resumption of classes is postponed after the Spring Festival holiday, as the virus has a certain incubation period, the DSEJ strongly calls on the teachers and students who are spending Chinese New Year in mainland China to return to Macao as early as possible. If conditions allow, they should return to Macao immediately; if conditions do not allow, they have to return to Macao no later than 2nd February. The DSEJ has notified schools to do preparations for students to study at home. Schools will make arrangements for students to study at home through different channels such as e-learning platforms and social media groups. Classes are suspended, yet learning will continue,

The DSEJ will continue to closely monitor the development of the epidemic situation. If necessary, the possibility of postponing the date of class resumption is not ruled out. Parents are requested to pay close attention to the latest information on the epidemic released by the SAR Government.
