Services of community, day care and sponsored childcare continue to be suspended

In response to further development of the new coronavirus epidemic, Social Welfare Bureau announced that community and day centers / services, as well as all funded nurseries in Macao, would continue to be suspended until further notice. Social Welfare Bureau once again appealed to private kindergartens to cooperate with the Macao SAR Government in the anti-epidemic work.

Although the above suspension will cause inconvenience to service users and parents in the short term, as well as temporary impact on the operation of facilities, Macao is now facing a major threat to public health and safety. At this critical moment, priority must be given to the safety of the citizens, especially children, the weak, the disabled and the elderly, so as to minimize the impact of crowd gathering and the risk of infection and transmission. Social Welfare Bureau appeals to all social service facilities, including subsidized facilities and private institutions, to fully cooperate with the Macao SAR government's anti-epidemic measures to ensure the life safety and well-being of service users.

For those which are still in operation, including the list of facilities and related arrangements for various types of hospital buildings and hotline services, please visit the website of Social Welfare Bureau at www.ias.gov.mo. Social Welfare Bureau once again appeals to users of all social services to stay at home and protect their own and others' health.
