UM’s FBA joins Global Business School Network

UM’s FBA is now a member of the Global Business School Network

The University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) strives to enhance its international status and collaborations with renowned business schools. To this end, FBA joined the Global Business School Network (GBSN) earlier this year. Other members of the GBSN include world-class business schools, such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management, Columbia Business School, Peking University HSBC Business School, Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance, and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology’s Business School.

A prestigious international business school network, GBSN is highly selective in the process of assessing applications for membership. Only prestigious world-class business schools that have a proven record recognised by the international business school community and have demonstrated their excellence in business education are granted membership. Currently, GBSN has about 100 members distributed across 48 countries and six continents. UM’s FBA is one of the 31 members in Asia. Other renowned Asian members include Peking University HSBC Business School, Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance, HKUST Business School, and Nanyang Business School. Beyond Asia, renowned members include MIT Sloan School of Management, Columbia Business School, INSEAD (Institut Européen d'Administration des Affaires), the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), Lancaster University Management School, and other world-class business schools. The membership is testament to FBA’s rapid development in recent years and increasing international recognition of its quality of education.

GBSN aims to promote collaborations among business schools and to nurture management talents for the developing world. Through its events and programmes, GBSN helps its members to share their experiences with and transfer their knowledge to educators all over the world, so that they can add value to global management education in the process of promoting economic and social development.
