Students’ health and safety has always been of the utmost concern of the authority when making decisions on class resumption. Due to the changes of the epidemic situation, it is decided to postpone the class resumption for non-tertiary education schools after having taken into consideration the opinions from the health departments as well as having continuously assessed the effects on the epidemic brought by the recent imported cases and the returnees from overseas. Previously, it was scheduled on 30th March that Form Six students could return to schools for revision and tutoring, and classes for other grades were scheduled to resume in phases from 13th April onwards. The SAR government will continue to monitor and analyse the epidemic development and adjust the class resumption preparatory plan based on scientific evidence and the professional opinions from the health departments. The specific date for resuming classes will be announced later according to the development of the epidemic.
