CCE’s New courses now open for applications

The CCE has launched three new courses

In line with the Macao SAR government's policy to encourage lifelong learning, the University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) offers courses to help Macao residents enhance their personal qualities and skills, thereby promoting economic and industrial diversification in Macao and fostering a culture of lifelong learning in society. Three new courses offered by the centre, namely Certificate in Artificial Intelligence Course, Certificate in Financial Technology, and Certificate in Android Apps Production, are now open for applications.

  • Certificate in Artificial Intelligence: The course demonstrates the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and methods of building AI systems through simple theories and software. It is conceptually oriented and focuses on the use of examples to describe the development of AI.
  • Certificate in Financial Technology: The course provides mathematical and software demonstrations of financial technology (FinTech) applications and methods of creating blockchains. It is conceptually oriented and focuses on the use of examples to describe the development of FinTech and blockchain.
  • Certificate in Android Apps Production: The course explains how to effectively use App Inventor2, a free online software developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, to create a variety of applications for Android system through a combination of easy and visual modules.

Students with an attendance rate of 80 per cent or higher will be awarded course certificates. For online applications and for more information, please visit the CCE’s website at https://cce.um.edu.mo/.
