Exhibition of UM’s achievements in volunteer teaching in Congjiang to begin on 16 March

An exhibition of the University of Macau’s (UM) achievements in volunteer teaching in Congjiang will kick off on 16 March

An exhibition of the University of Macau’s (UM) achievements in volunteer teaching in Congjiang, Guizhou province, will be held from 16 March to 28 March, in the Centre for Exhibitions and Artistic Shows for Young People (O Pavilhão de Exposições e Espectáculos Artísticos para Jovens). The event is organised by Chao Kuang Piu College (CKPC) at UM and sponsored by the Education and Youth Development Bureau. It will be open to the public. All are welcome.

Since December 2018, the CKPC’s volunteer teaching team has been performing volunteer teaching in Gantuan Primary School in Congjiang county, Guizhou province, every winter and summer. The exhibition will showcase photos, letters and artworks of the team's four volunteer trips to the school, to help the public gain a better understanding of the lives of children growing up in the mountains, as well as to communicate the team’s commitment to changing children’s lives through education.

The exhibition will be open from 12:00pm to 8:00pm, Tuesday through Sunday. Admission is free. For enquiries, please call 2856 2801 or 2856 5463, or visit the event venue’s website at www.dsedj.gov.mo/peeaj .

The Centre for Exhibitions and Artistic Shows for Young People is dedicated to providing exhibition and performance space for young people and providing the necessary support in the process of organising exhibitions in order to encourage young people to showcase their talents, share their creativity, and boost their self-confidence.
