The online registration period for the exchange of the Rat and Ox Zodiac banknotes and the previously issued 20th Anniversary of the Return to the Motherland of Macao banknotes will end at 6:00pm on 9 April 2021 (Friday). The Monetary Authority of Macao would like to remind those citizens who are interested in exchanging for the said banknotes to complete the registration process before the mentioned deadline.
The two Issuing Banks have already started accepting the online registration, via the Monetary
Authority of Macao webpage, for the mentioned banknotes by Macao residents since 22 March
2021 at 9:00am. Up until now, the system functions properly and the registration process has been conducted smoothly. At designated branches of Bank of China and Banco Nacional Ultramarino, assistance will be provided to the elderly for the online registration process.
