Macao Grand Prix Museum will open to the public tomorrow for trial operation

Upon completion of expansion construction, the Macao Grand Prix Museum under Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO)’s management has partially come into trial operation. The Museum will open to the public tomorrow (2 April). Ticket holders are kindly reminded to visit the Museum at their scheduled time slots on corresponding dates.

Ticket holders should note that by advanced booking, they can visit the Museum at their selected time slots in the morning or afternoon: 10:00 — 13:00 (last admission at 12:00) and 15:00 — 18:00 (last admission at 17:00). On the day of visit, every visitor is required to present the QR code included in the email received after online ticket purchase, to redeem a pit pass at the ticketing office in the Museum. With the pit pass, visitors are eligible to play different interactive multimedia games in the Museum. Visitors who purchased discounted tickets are also required to present applicable identification documents.

Pit pass enables game records saved for fun memories

Visitors can use the self-service kiosk in the Museum to register and set their own profile, choose their preferred racing team to save records of interactive game results. Participants can contend for higher ranks on the list, check their single-lap time and challenge other team records. Their game result records and photos taken during games will be sent to their registered email address for visitors to bring home good memories. To add more fun to visitors’ experience, all the multimedia interactive game facilities are equipped with the feature of game result and rank calculation for visitors’ collection of game medals. Visitors can also take home their pit passes as keepsakes. The Macao Grand Prix Museum features a variety of interactive multimedia game facilities. Every pit pass grants a museum visitor an opportunity to experience each game once. To ensure safety, certain games are restricted to visitors who meet the specified range of age and height, whereas some may not be suitable for visitors with certain conditions. Visitors are advised to follow the instructions given by museum staff.

Public guided service available daily

During trial operation, the Museum provides daily sessions of public guided service. Visitors are welcome to sign up on site for the guided service session conducted in their preferred language at designated time slots. Due to limited quotas, the guided service will be signed up on a first-come, first-served basis. The Macao Grand Prix Museum rigorously follows the pandemic prevention guidelines issued by Health Bureau. Visitors are required to wear masks throughout their visit, have their temperature checked and present Macau health code of the day upon entry.

During trial operation, the Macao Grand Prix Museum is opened for the public to book visits and purchase tickets within quotas on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays in April as well as daily in May (closed on Tuesdays). Tickets for April have been sold out. Interested parties can log in to MGTO’s online ticketing system (eticket.macaotourism.gov.mo) and purchase tickets for May in advance.
