CATTI tests will be hosted by Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI). The first CATTI Tests in Chinese-Portuguese and Chinese-English are scheduled to take place at MPI on June 19 and 20. To help candidates to prepare for the tests effectively, the School of Languages and Translation of MPI will provide training for all registered candidates on June 2 and June 5 respectively, and will not charge any cost. Interested candidates can log on MPI’s “language training and testing” website from May 1 to May 15 https://www.ipm.edu.mo/eslt/zh/catti.php to register and select one of the two sessions under the section of “Training for CATTI candidates”. Seats will be limited.
The National Qualification Examination for Translation (CATTI) is the only language-related test listed in China’s national vocational qualification system. Its translation qualification certificate is jointly issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China and the China Foreign Languages Bureau. It is widely recognized in the job market and has become the most popular among industry professionals and college students majoring in translation and interpreting studies.
