Attractions along Macao Highlight Tours

To enrich travelers’ experience in Macao and extend their length of stay for greater spending in Macao, Macao’s travel trade will soon launch the Macao Highlight Tours tailored for visitor markets. Operating in small-sized groups, the Macao Highlight Tours allow visitors to experience Macao’s profound history, cultural landscape and “tourism+” projects, in turn stimulating the economy in local communities. The Macao Highlight Tours will open for applications from tomorrow (18 May).

The Macao Highlight Tours also offer tailor-made options for visitors to design their own preferred itineraries, to foster in-depth travel and steer the tourism development towards sustainability and diversification.

In-depth itineraries enrich travel experience

At present, Macao Highlight Tours feature four profound itineraries as follows: “Amazing one-day tour with ‘MAK MAK’”, “Explore the history of Macao’s handover and secrets of the Macau Grand Prix”, “Strolling in the Historic Centre of Macao and enjoying enchanting scenery on maritime tour”, “Dive into the beauty of Coloane and explore the ancient architecture of Nossa Senhora Village of Ká-Hó”. Small-sized tour groups will be operated for each itinerary. The minimum group size is six persons for the “Amazing one-day tour with ‘MAK MAK’” and ten persons for the other itineraries. Transportation services will be arranged for tour participants. Upon sign-up, tour participants can request for tour guide service in Cantonese, Mandarin or English as their preferred language. During the tours, participants can enjoy interactive communication and relish different elements offered by the tours.

Tailor-made itineraries

The Macao Highlight Tours also offer the popular “Private helicopter charter ride”. Interested parties can sign up for the chartered helicopter ride in private tours. Every helicopter can accommodate up to 12 passengers per tour. In addition, visitors can opt for private tours along tailor-made itineraries. To visitors’ preferences, travel agencies can arrange for a half-day tour around alleys and lanes imbued with local aroma, a culinary tour for signature delicacies, a green wellness tour or a luxurious shopping tour besides other tailor-made elements, for visitors to bring home enhanced travel experiences in Macao.

The Office will pay close attention to the latest situation of the COVID-19 pandemic while opportunely communicating with the travel trade to request their appropriate arrangements for all the activities in accord with the pandemic prevention guidelines issued by Health Bureau.
