UM's residential colleges organise activities to help secondary school students plan for further studies

Visiting students make their own coffee in Chao Kuang Piu College

The residential colleges at the University of Macau (UM) have organised a series of activities for local secondary school students, to enable them to experience life in the RCs and to gain a better understanding of UM’s international education model and learning environment, so that they could make an early planning for further studies.

The visiting students were warmly received by college members, who showed them around the college, shared with them their daily lives, and dined with them. The visiting students also took photos in the college’s photo studio, made their own coffee in the college’s cafe, participated in guided tours, and had friendly debate matches.

Since 2017, UM’s RCs have organised many visits for secondary school students in Macao, so that they could understand the importance of campus environment and consider this factor when making their final college choice. Many students say that they have gained a great deal from these visits, adding that UM has left a good impression on them and they hope to have the opportunity to study at UM.
