The “Collective Exhibition of Macao Artists”, organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), dedicated various types of Chinese artworks, accepts applications from 16 to 18 July (Friday to Sunday) from 10am to 7pm at the Old Court Building (Avenida da Praia Grande). All interested Macao artists are welcome to participate.
The “Collective Exhibition of Macao Artists” is an iconic exhibition of the local visual arts sector. IC will continue to hold this exhibition, which accepts various types of Chinese artworks, including Chinese painting, calligraphy, seal engraving, modern ink painting and works from related creative categories, aiming to encourage local artists to pursue their artistic creation, demonstrating the characteristics of traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy and combing innovative approaches, as well as exploring the possibility of its development.
Participants must hold a Permanent or Non-permanent Resident Identity Card. Each participant can submit a maximum of 3 pieces/sets, and in case of series, each set can have a maximum of four pieces. The following awards will be granted in the event: 1 “Grand Prize of Jury Award” - the winner will be invited to hold an individual exhibition by the organizer; 10 “Outstanding Artworks Awards”, 10 “Special Artwork Awards”; and 1 “Young Artist Award”, to be awarded to the best work by an artist under the age of 29. The Organizer will invite professionals from different regions to form a jury panel and review the artworks. The date of the evaluation by the jury will be announced later and the exhibition is scheduled to be held in the middle of next year.
