Cultural Affairs Bureau and Printing Bureau jointly launch book vending service

The Cultural Affairs Bureau and the Printing Bureau jointly launched a book vending service from today. Currently, a total of three vending machines developed by the Printing Bureau have been installed in the S. Lourenço Library, Taipa Library and Seac Pai Van Library, in order to facilitate the purchase of books and periodicals published by the two bureaus, thereby fostering a reading atmosphere. In the future, more publications by other government departments, such as policy addresses and public consultation documents will also be available in the kiosks.

In the first phase, publications by the Cultural Affairs Bureau on history, literature, arts, Macao’s cultural heritage and intangible cultural heritage, legal publications by the Printing Bureau and governmental forms will be available in the vending machines. After selecting the materials on the vending machines, the user can purchase them via e-payment platforms. In addition, before heading to purchase or obtain the publications, the public can check the locations of the vending machines in different districts, and the type and quantity of publications at https://apps.io.gov.mo/bims_mobile/. All are welcome to use the service.
