Over 550,000 persons proved negative in citywide testing program | Untested individuals may get tested at their own expense until 21:00 tonight

According to the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centrea cumulative total of 614,465 people have been sampled under the Citywide Nucleic Acid Testing Programme, and a total of 452,156 specimens collected therefrom have been tested, all returned negative. Besides, since 3 August 2021, 101,786 people went for testing on their own and are not included in the citywide testing, that is, a total of 716,251 people have completed testing, of which the 553,942 specimens tested have been confirmed as negative.

The Centre states that, sampling work of the citywide testing drive has completed, and laboratory testing work is proceeding at full speed, striving to complete all tests as soon as possible. Meanwhile, as the quantity of specimens is huge, there will be delays in uploading results to the Health Code system.

In response to the closure of all temporary sampling stations for the citywide testing programme at 09:00 today (7 August), the Centre urges untested members of the public to take their test promptly. The authorities will offer a grace period for the public to conduct the test at their own expense before 21:00 tonight (7 August) at the following five routine nucleic acid testing locations: Pac On Ferry Terminal, Macao Forum, Kiang Wu Hospital, University Hospital, and Workers Stadium of the Macao Federation of Trade Unions. After 21:00 tonight (7 August), the health code of those who have not undergone the test will be converted to yellow.
