In conjunction with the Macao SAR Government’s prevention and control measures of the pandemic, all cultural facilities under the Cultural Affairs Bureau are currently closed. The Macao Public Library of the Cultural Affairs Bureau is extending the book loan period during the closure of the public libraries. Therefore the members of the public do not have to hasten to return the materials to the public libraries.
Readers may also access free electronic resources on the Macao Public Library’s website ( www.library.gov.mo ), which features a large number of e-books, e-magazines, academic journals and children’s picture books. The fields of these electronic resources include humanities and society, language learning, finance and business management, science and technology, computer information, medicine and health, art and design, leisure and lifestyle, parent-children books and audio books.
The Cultural Affairs Bureau will closely monitor the development of the pandemic, follow the relevant guidelines of the Health Bureau and implement appropriate measures in a timely manner and thanks the public for their understanding and collaboration.
