UM responds to enquiry about staff member sharing common track with confirmed patient


In response to the enquiry about a staff member of the University of Macau sharing a common track with the confirmed patient, the university would like to respond as follows:

On the noon of 10 August, a UM staff member was informed by the Health Bureau that he and the confirmed patient shared a common track. He immediately went to the testing location at Pac On for a nucleic acid test, the result of which was negative and the health code was green. On the advice of Pac On testing personnel, the staff member was tested again on 11 August; the result was still negative and the health code remained green.

Since learning the news from the staff member on the afternoon of 11 August, the university has been closely following the matter and has been taken all necessary measures in strict accordance with the guidelines of the Health Bureau.
