Census Completion Made Easy with Online Questionnaire Great Prizes Await Lucky Respondents

2021 Population Census

Data collection for the 2021 Population Census will end on 21 August. As at yesterday (15 Aug), about 41.7% of the households in Macao have completed and submitted the Census questionnaire.

In appreciation for the support of the households, households who have completed the Census questionnaire will automatically be entered into Early Census Response for Greater Chance of Winning Lucky Draw. A total of 200 winning households will be drawn for the Jolly Prize every day. They will receive a top-up value of MOP200 for their e-wallet or supermarket vouchers of equivalent value. Besides, households who have completed the questionnaire will enter the grand prize draw on 31 August, and 15 winning households will be drawn to select their preferred prize from the grand prize list, which includes latest computers, smart TVs, furniture vouchers worth MOP6,000 and domestic sports goods.

The Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) appeals to the households who have not completed the questionnaire to respond to the Census at their earliest convenience via online or telephone means. The elderly or persons who are not used to using computers or mobile phones to access the internet may fill out the paper questionnaire, and return it to any of the 12 questionnaire collection points in Macao. Moreover, the staff at the collection points will handle enquiries from households regarding completion or submission of questionnaire.

In accordance with the Administrative Regulation no. 6/2021 – “2021 Population Census Regime”, all Census respondents are obliged to provide the required information within the specified period. DSEC appeals to the public to co-operate in the Census and provide accurate information.
