Restrictive measures on the living areas of the 4 confirmed cases of COVID-19 lifted

In response to the four confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported in Macao on 3 August, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre had, under the zone-specific, multi-level targeted approach to epidemic prevention and control and having regard to the level of risk, immediately implemented restrictive measures in the living areas or sites of activities of the confirmed cases on the same day.

As the people living in those areas have undergone several rounds of nucleic acid tests and all have been confirmed as negative, after assessment by the health authorities, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announces that, with effect from 00:00 on 18 August 2021, the “red code zone” restrictions covering Edf. Mei Lin, Edf. Fai Son and Edf. Kian On in Rua de Coelho do Amaral, as well as the buildings and shops on the two sides of the segment of Rua da Emenda between Rua de Tomé Pires and Avenida de Horta e Costa, will be lifted; meanwhile, the “yellow code zone” restrictions covering Edf. Seng Lin, Edf. Chun Cheong, Edf. Vo Heng, Edf. Wa Keong and Edf. Ken Keong will also be lifted.
