This Saturday is Last Day to Complete the Census Households Not Yet Replied Urged to Respond ASAP

Census officers visit households who have not yet responded to Census to collect data

Data collection for the 2021 Population Census will end this Saturday (28 Aug). The Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) appeals to the households who have not yet completed the Census questionnaire to respond as soon as possible.

Field Visits Run Smoothly

Census data collection will be concluded on 28 August. It has been 4 days since the resumption of field visits and a number of households that could not be reached in the first two days of field visits have contacted DSEC to provide information. DSEC extends its appreciation to the public for their support and co-operation and appeals to the households who have not yet responded to the Census to provide information via online or telephone means, in paper form or to the visiting Census officers as soon as possible. Households who did not receive the Census notification letter are requested to call the Census Hotline at 8809 8809 at their earliest convenience to activate their access to the online questionnaire or to conduct a telephone interview.

Households Temporarily Not in Macao due to Work or Other Reasons Urged to Contact DSEC

Households who have not completed the questionnaire and are away from Macao temporarily due to work or other reasons may inform DSEC of their situation by calling the Census Hotline at 8809 8809. Meanwhile, Census officers have left an appointment card and a notification letter to non-contact households and DSEC urges these households to contact DSEC as soon as possible.

DSEC appeals to the public to co-operate in the Census, fulfil their civic duty and provide accurate information for the future planning of Macao.
