Macao Creative Pavilion at the China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair brings opportunities for the development of Macao’s Cultural and Creative Industries

The 17th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) will be held from 23 to 27 September. The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) and the Cultural Industries Fund of the Macao SAR Government jointly set up the “Macao Creative Pavilion”, leading Macao’s cultural and creative products and services to “go global”, and bringing opportunities for the development of Macao’s cultural and creative industries.

IC has been organising the participation of Macao’s cultural and creative sector in the ICIF since 2006. This year the ICIF will be held at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center. The “Macao Creative Pavilion” is located in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Cultural Industries Hall, which covers an area of around 180 square meters. The Pavilion combines the elements of Macao’s distinctive architecture in its design, with a curvilinear style in red, yellow and green, to show the custom of Macao. The “Macao Creative Pavilion” brings together a number of Macao’s cultural and creative brands, to present Macao’s cultural image as a creative and diverse city to the industries in Mainland China and the public, promoting cooperation with the cultural and creative industries in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, thus expanding the marketing of Macao’s cultural and creative industries to Mainland China, and creating opportunities for development. Due to epidemic prevention and control measures, Macao’s exhibitors will not be able to visit and exchange views on site. Visitors to the “Macao Creative Pavilion” can seek cooperation with exhibitors through the contact information placed in the exhibition hall.

IC and the Cultural Industries Fund jointly organised the participation of ten local cultural and creative entities in the ICIF, which cover fields of creative design, digital media and animation, among others. The participating entities include Good Technology Development Co., Ltd., Soda Panda Product Design, TICK.DESIGN LTD., Hylé Design Macau, Native Ltd., BY Production Co., Ltd., O-Moon Company Limited, Mung Animation Company Limited, En Masse Company Limited, and I.N.K Moda Ltd.
