Social Service Facilities to Resume Operation Next Monday

The Social Welfare Bureau (IAS) announces that in view of the development of the pandemic in Macao, all subsidised childcare, day care and community facilities will resume operation from October 4 (Monday) provided that there are no significant changes in today or tomorrow. The temporary suspension of family visits to residents’ rooms in nursing homes and rehabilitation homes will also be lifted effective from that date.

The IAS has requested all social service facilities to continue to strictly implement all epidemic prevention measures in accordance with the relevant guidelines.

The IAS urges all social service workers and eligible service users to receive COVID-19 vaccines as soon as possible to protect their own health and safety as well as the safety of others, and to establish a herd immunity barrier together.
