Cultural Affairs Bureau holds creative handicraft workshops at the Tap Siac Craft Market in November

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from its Portuguese acronym), the “Tap Siac Craft Market” will be held from 19 to 21 November and from 26 to 28 November at Tap Siac Square., counting with a total of 36 creative handicraft workshops, including 9 sessions for families. All interested parties can register for the workshops through the Tap Siac Craft Market website ( www.craftmarket.gov.mo ) from 4 November. The deadline for online registration is 5pm on 8 November. The fee for each handicraft workshop is MOP50.

In order to allow more residents to participate and enjoy the fun of handicrafts, each person may register for up to two workshops and only once per workshop. For family workshops, each child may register for up to two workshops and only once per workshop. Successful applicants will be selected by drawing lots and will be notified by SMS on 11 November. Selected applicants should pay the registration fees at the designated locations within the specified period of time. The selection results will also be announced on the Tap Siac Craft Market website (www.craftmarket.gov.mo).

Registered applicants who arrive ten minutes after the workshop starts will lose their turn and will be replaced by on-site applicants on the waiting list. For details, please refer to the “Registration Notes”. If there are vacancies left for the workshops, interested parties can register on-site and pay the registration fees during the Tap Siac Craft Market on 19 and 26 November respectively, from 5 pm onwards. In addition, the organiser will distribute the tickets to on-site applicants at the venue 30 minutes before each workshop starts. Any latecomers to the workshops will be replaced by the on-site applicants on the waiting list accordingly.

In line with the epidemic prevention measures, all participants must wear face masks, undergo body temperature checks and present a valid “Macao Health Code” of the day. IC will follow the relevant epidemic prevention guidelines of the Health Bureau and implement appropriate measures for the activities.
