The Chief Executive, Mr Ho Iat Seng, is on a four-day visit to Shanghai and Hangzhou. Mr Ho has been invited by the Minister of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, to attend the opening ceremony of the 4th China International Import Expo, being held in Shanghai.
Following the stop in Shanghai, Mr Ho will pay a visit to Hangzhou and meet officials of Zhejiang Province, in order to strengthen bilateral ties.
Mr Ho will return to Macao on Sunday (7 November). While Mr Ho is away from Macao, the Secretary for Administration and Justice, Mr Cheong Weng Chon and the Secretary for Economy and Finance, Mr Lei Wai Nong, will take in turn the role of Acting Chief Executive.
