CCM launches “Local Associated Artist Project”

The Macao Cultural Centre, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, is recruiting one candidate and a respective creative team for a new Local Associated Artist Project. With the purpose of creating fine art projects and supporting the emergence of new artistic talents, this comprehensive programme is designed to consolidate the artist’s output range and sophistication, promoting and developing the performing arts over the next three years (2021-2024). The proposals shall include two stage productions complemented with a series of extended educational activities, comprising workshops and outreaches.

Aiming to encourage local creators to holistically conceive artistic projects from a wider range of perspectives (and collaborations with overseas artists), CCM will provide up to MOP 2,000,000 budget to be implemented in articulation with a broad marketing communication plan, ticketing, provision of venues and ancillary services. To better focus on the project creation and planning, the selected applicant shall be assigned at CCM from next year through 2024 to conceive their novel outputs, bringing to the fore socially and culturally relevant works for diverse audience bases and target groups amongst the educational community. The proposals must be submitted from November 11, 2021, till January 04, 2022.

Candidates will be shortlisted by February 2022, followed by pitching sessions to the project’s jury. The final selection will be announced by next April. Application forms may be downloaded at www.ccm.gov.mo. For further information please visit CCM’s website or call (853) 2870 0699.
