A delegation from the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) visited the Guangdong-Macao Intensive Co-operation Zone in Hengqin today (9 November), during which they discussed and exchanged opinions on future collaborations and relevant arrangements with representatives from the Economic Development Bureau and the Commercial Services Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao Intensive Co-operation Zone in Hengqin.
IPIM President Lau Wai Meng and IPIM Executive Director Vincent U led the delegation to meet with Acting Director-General of the Economic Development Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao Intensive Co-operation Zone in Hengqin Antonio Lei and other personnel. During the meeting, they discussed ways of effectively constructing a communication platform, hoping that in the future, they can further promote investments and the business environment in the Intensive Co-operation Zone through MICE and trade events, and continue to introduce traders to its development potential, all in a bid to attract more external investments in the area.
The IPIM delegation also visited the Integrated Services Centre in the Zone to meet with Acting Director-General Wu Chuangwei and Acting Deputy Director-General Yau Yun Wah from the Commercial Services Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao Intensive Co-operation Zone in Hengqin. The purpose of the visit was to gain a deeper understanding of the service procedures regarding the integrated service zone for business incorporation, commercial registration windows for Hong Kong and Macao enterprises and electronic government initiatives. Moreover, the representatives also shared their experiences and studied new possibilities for co-operation.
Moreover, IPIM and the Economic Development Bureau and the Commercial Services Bureau from the Guangdong-Macao Intensive Co-operation Zone in Hengqin will provide a number of services related to the Zone, such as investment consultation, commercial registration, and arrangements for online video consultation with relevant departments. In the future, they will establish service stations in Macao to give prompt reply to residents’ and local investors’ enquiries.
