GMBPF Gathers High-Quality Products from Guangdong and Macao to Help Enterprises Promote Their Brands

The Guangdong & Macao Branded Products Fair gathers a variety of quality products from Guangdong and Macao

The “2021 Guangdong & Macao Branded Products Fair” (2021GMBPF), jointly organised by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, will be held at The Venetian Macao from 26 to 28 November. This year’s GMBPF will enhance its business matching activities, which will be held both online and offline. Some enterprises have decided to participate in the Fair again this year, having increased their turnover by 40% after their participation in last year’s Fair and finding it effective in promoting and publicising their brands. Some enterprises gained inspiration and experience from the previous Fair’s live-streaming session, thus expanding live-streaming sales.

GMBPF helps enterprises develop new customers

The GMBPF gathers a variety of quality products from Guangdong and Macao, serving as an important platform that helps enterprises promote their brands. Mr Wong, the representative of a food import and export business, believes that participating in the GMBPF can help enhance a brand’s reputation and credibility. The company participated in last year’s GMBPF and successfully developed new customer base, with a 40% increase in the number of its wholesalers. He also reached long-term procurement co-operation with some new customers. Mr Sou, the representative of an agent dealing with products from Portuguese-speaking countries, noted that his company sold goods worth over MOP20,000 during the three-day Fair last year, and its turnover was boosted by 30% to 40% after the Fair. He believes that GMBPF provides an excellent platform for enterprises to overcome the difficulties posed by the pandemic and he has full confidence in the 2021GMBPF.

Online activities stimulate exhibitors’ creativity

This year, GMBPF will enhance the integration of online and offline activities, with a live-streaming room and the Online Expo to provide a direct and effective publicising platform for exhibitors. Ms Chio, the representative of a dried seafood business, said that through participating in the live-streaming session of last year’s GMBPF, she gained inspiration and experience, and thus tried to expand live-streaming sales, which can now reach more than MOP10,000 in a single day. On the other hand, the economic environment last year was weakened by the pandemic. The GMBPF, especially the discounted participation fee offered to eligible local enterprises, was a great support to the industry at that time; and the industry, in general, was satisfied with the promotion effect of the Fair.
