Singing Club Recruitment CCM Open to New Voices

The Macao Cultural Centre, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, is recruiting a new wave of choristers to join its Singing Club

The Macao Cultural Centre, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, is recruiting a new wave of choristers to join its Singing Club. Applications are now open to children and youth aged 8 to 16, wishing to explore the delights of vocal performance and to enhance their artistic insights.

In a vibrant learning environment, CCM’s Singing Club introduces tweens and teens to the world of music, combining weekly choral rehearsals with other performing art forms. In each choir season, boys and girls are given numerous performing opportunities, singing in concerts, attending community oriented and environmental events. Amid festivals and local celebrations, the Singing Club has been frequently involved in festive occasions, performing live at jamborees and ceremonies.

On the coming season, the Club’s young voices will once more have a chance to actively embrace the city, taking part in a string of engaging activities, from community visits and Nature walks, to adventures discovering the old town.

Applications are open until December 9. Registered candidates will be individually notified to attend the auditions scheduled for December 11 and 12, 2021 and once selected, members will be subject to a MOP 1,200 fee per semester.

The Centre will keep following anti-epidemic guidelines issued by the health authorities taking up appropriate measures, requesting candidates to wear face masks, undergo body temperature checks and present a valid Health Code.
