Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) and co-ordinated by the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM), the “Style．Encounter Moment” Fashion Parade of the Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making will be held during the Macao Fashion Festival 2021 in Hall B of The Venetian Macao, at 4pm on 12 December (Sunday). Admission is free and the public is welcome to appreciate local fashion design, thereby gaining a better understanding of the development of Macao’s fashion industry.
The “Style．Encounter Moment” Fashion Parade of the Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making will feature works by fashion designers selected from the 8th Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making, in which 64 sets of clothing will be presented by local models, including men’s elegant clothing, women’s casual and formal attire. Participating designers include (in arbitrary order): Celestino Maria Cordova, Ding Zhen, Wong Man I, Wong Ha, Leong Man Teng, Choi Nga Teng, Chan Nga Leong, and Lai Ka Pou.
The Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making was launched by IC in 2013, aiming to encourage original design, enhance the standard of local fashion design and boost the professionalism and industrialisation of Macao’s fashion design sector. Through this event, IC hopes to offer local fashion designers an opportunity to accumulate experience in fashion shows and to showcase and promote Macao designers’ latest achievements among local and international audiences.
