Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) and co-ordinated by the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM), the “Style.Encounter Moment” Fashion Parade of the Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making was held at the Macao Fashion Festival 2021 in Hall B of The Venetian Macao on 12 December.
The event was attended by the the Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office, Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes; the Vice President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Cheong Lai San; the Director General of the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center, Shuen Ka Hung; the Member of the Cultural Consultative Committee, José Luís de Sales Marques; the Head of the Department for Promoting Cultural and Creative Industries, Ho Hong Pan; the Director of Centre of Educational Resources of Education and Youth Development Bureau, Tsang Hio Ian; the Member of Fashion & Image Committee of CPTTM, Wong Si Lam and members of the adjudicating panel of the Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making, including the Vice President of the Industrial Association of Macau, José Tang Kuan Meng; and local veteran fashion designer, Robert Lai, among others.
The Fashion Parade features works by fashion designers selected from the 8th Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making, in which 64 sets of clothing were presented by local models, including men’s elegant clothing, women’s casual and formal attire. Participating designers include (in arbitrary order): Celestino Maria Cordova, Ding Zhen, Wong Man I, Wong Ha, Leong Man Teng, Choi Nga Teng, Chan Nga Leong, and Lai Ka Pou.
IC and CPTTM have been jointly organising the “Style.Encounter Moment” Fashion Parade of the Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making annually since 2014, showcasing the latest achievements of selected designers from IC’s “Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making”, and providing a platform for local fashion designers to promote their fashion brands and works.
