The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre (hereinafter referred to as “the Centre”) stated that the present citywide nucleic acid testing programme has been rolled out at 12:00 pm yesterday (19 June); as of 9 am today (20 June), a total of 339,726 samples have been collected, of which 198,301 samples have been tested are negative. In addition, six 10 in 1 mixed samples are preliminary positive, and re-testing is being carried out to confirm the results.
Taking into account that community transmission of the disease is detected in the territory, the Centre appeals to the public to proactively cooperate with the Government, book and complete the test as soon as possible, so that potential cases can be detected in a timely manner, making it possible to block transmission chains and prevent further spread of the disease in the community.
