Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announces launching of Hall C of “COVID-19 Community Treatment Centre”


The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre stated that, in order to respond to the quarantine demand, and expand the service capacity of quarantine station, in accordance with the “Contingency Plan for Large-scale COVID-19 Epidemic”', Pac On Temporary Quarantine Station will be suspended from 6:00 am on 24 June, and Hall C of the “COVID-19 Community Treatment Centre” located in the Macau East Asian Games Dome will be put into operation simultaneously.

With a larger capacity than Pac On Temporary Quarantine Station, the makeshift hospital not only offers better condition for epidemic prevention and control, but also provides a more comfortable environment for citizens while waiting. According to the Contingency Plan, Hall C is used to triage risk groups including close contacts and people with common tracks.

According to the existing arrangements, the Fire Services Bureau is tasked to transport close contacts, mixed sample positive cases and antigen self-test positive cases; while the Public Security Police Force is responsible for transporting people with common activity tracks and others. Meanwhile, the Public Security Police Force will coordinate with the Transport Bureau in arranging vehicles to send individuals who have been temporarily excluded from risk after preliminary testing to designated locations in Macao or Taipa.
