According to the latest forecast, "Nalgae" will edge closer to Macao within 100 km between the afternoon on the 2nd and the beginning of the 3rd. However, under the influence of the northeast monsoon, the strength of "Nalgae" will gradually weaken on the 2nd. The possibility of issuing Typhoon Signal No.8 from the afternoon to evening today is “medium to relatively high” because the forecast track and the degree of weakening still remain uncertain.

Under the combined effect of “Nalgae” and the northeast monsoon, it is expected that today the local winds will increase generally to a wind level scale of 6-7, occasionally 8, with gusts. The showers will become stronger. It is expected to be cloudy in the next few days with frequent showers and cooler.

In the early morning of the 2nd, there was a slight flood in the Southern Inner Harbor area, but it has retreated. Due to the next astronomical high tide, and “Nalgae” will come closest to Macao, from the evening of the 2nd to the early morning of the 3rd there also will be a flood in the inner harbor area. The public is advised to pay attention to the latest information on the tropical cyclone.
