Macao Institute for Tourism Studies (IFTM) has been cooperating with The University of Queensland (UQ) since 2012. During these years, students from IFTM have participated in semester exchange to UQ and highly appreciated this learning opportunity.
To further enhance the learning development and international exposure of IFTM postgraduate students, IFTM signed a dual master’s programme cooperation agreement with UQ in December 2022.
This dual master’s programme is a collaboration between IFTM School of Tourism Management and UQ Business School. It provides an exciting opportunity for eligible students from IFTM to transfer credits and complete UQ Master of Tourism, Hotel and Event Management degree while simultaneously completing IFTM master’s degree, all within two years. UQ ranks in the world’s top universities, including 50th in the 2023 QS World University Rankings, 53rd in the 2023 Times Higher Education World University Rankings. In the ShanghaiRanking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2022, UQ is 8th in the world for Hospitality and Tourism Management.
Students under this dual programme will enjoy the cutting edge academic and teaching excellence in tourism, hotel and event management provided by two leading institutions in Macao (China) and in Brisbane (Australia), both joining forces with an aim to foster global management talents in this exciting tourism industry.
